Beginner’s mind

Every solution begins with a question.

The concept

Shoshin is the “beginner’s mind” — facing each problem with openness and curiosity, free of the expert’s certainties. Where the experienced see a single answer, the beginner sees many.

In engineering

We approach each challenge without the weight of “it’s always been this way.” No inherited assumptions, no off-the-shelf solution imposed. We ask the obvious again — that’s how you see what everyone stopped seeing.
